Traveling to Albany

Getting to Albany, NY is pretty easy.  But we’re happy to help!

Airport

The nearest airport is Albany International Airport. (International meaning… Canada.  Technically, it counts.)

Southwest flies to ALB, making that an easy choice for those of you coming from PHX, MDW, and FLL.

All of the major US Carriers also fly to ALB.

Cityfolk cAlbany-Rensselaeran easily take Amtrak from New York Penn Station to Albany-Rensselaer.  Trains run multiple times a day, and prices go up as trains get sold, so we recommend making a reservation as soon as you know when you plan to head to town.  Changes can be made with no fee.

Driving Directions to Albany are easy.  Type where you are into Google Maps  and tell it to take you to Albany.  We can’t really give you better help than that. Well, we can tell you to avoid Apple Maps.  They lie. But everyone knows that.

Car

There are many rental car options at the airport as well as an Enterprise Car Rental near the Albany-Rensselaer Train Station.  A car will not be entirely necessary, as we plan to shuttle from the hotel to The Crooked Lake House for the wedding.  Between hotel shuttles and friends with cars, we can help to arrange your transport from arrival to the hotel.  A rental car would be more for your own freedom to explore all Albany has to offer.  For more on that… click here!
